Politics of Boots and Fists

Photo from Matichon Online with the caption roughly translated as: 'People's Alliance for Democracy capturing a suspicious person'. The full set of images can be found here.

Here is a definition of fascism:

Fascism: A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.

And characteristic of fascists, their politics are often articulated by manipulative charismatic leaders while their henchmen exercise their politics with boots and fists.

Thailand is now dangerously close to being ruled by a fascist mob called PAD.

  1. I guess you like the Thaksin fascists who do the grenade launcher attacks, break up Parliamentarians cars, rig elections, kill thousands of people extra judicially, kill muslims in Tak Bai and steal everything they can from projects such as the Airport project, the fire truck project, elect proxies, have people in their cabinet with bought degrees and lets see what else oh yes the lottery rigging case about to come up and the other 22 cases. I guess the courts are wrong? Don't forget they were convicted in the constitutional court with video evidence of large cash transactions in the rigging of the 2007 election which elected a true fascist who killed hundreds in the 1973 student riots and then replaced him with his brother in law who can barely speak english.

    Now ask the question again.

    Long Live the PAD
